New Spells:

 

The Black Magic spell Piggy is not represented in the core FFRPG rules, and thus rules for this spell and status have been added to this worldbook. In addition, assuming that the prospective GM chooses not to allow Time Mages in a FF4 Campaign, a select few Time Magic spells otherwise represented in FF4 have been included by adding them to the spells lists for either Black Magic or White Magic, as appropriate.

 

 

Black Magic LVL 3:

 

Warp (10 MP)

Target: Party

Type: Support

The affected area glows and a beam of light blazes up from beneath. When it is gone, everything within the area is lifted either one floor up or down in a dungeon, cave, tower or such. Because of the intense concentration and incredibly accurate mental images required, only floors the casting mage has seen may be moved to by warping.

 

 

Black Magic LVL 4:

 

Comet (44 MP)

Target: Group

Type: Non-Elemental

The mage reaches towards the sky and summons a comet to crash down on the targetted area. It splits in two as it hits the atmosphere and the pieces hit two random targets, doing (8 x MAG) + 2d8 Non-Elemental damage to each. Comet is not affected by Armor or M. Armor. Each potential target must roll 1d100 for each strike - the lowest roll for each strike is the target that gets hit.

 

Piggy (35 MP)

Target: Single

Type: Status (Transform)

With a sparkling twinkle, a pink smoke envelopes the target. When it dissipates, there is a (M.ACC-50)%, M. Defense chance that the target has been afflicted with the Piggy status (4). If the target is already under this status condition, he returns to normal.

 

 

Transform type Status Condition: Piggy

 

The character suddenly resembles a humanoid pig! EVA and ACC% are lowered by 50% for the duration of the status, and Initiative is lowered by 4. For purposes of Task Checks, the character’s AGI Rating is also decreased by 50%, while gaining a 50% bonus to Survival and Tracking checks. All magic abilities are also sealed except for the Black Magic *Piggy.

Cancelled By: Diet Food, Remedy, *Esuna, or *Piggy.

 

 

Black Magic LVL 6:

 

Stop (67 MP)

Target: Single

Type: Status (Time)

A bright metallic clock is super-imposed over the target, its hands gradually slowing until they don't move at all. The clock then shatters and has a (M.ACC%-50)%, M. Defense chance to add the Stop status (4).

 

 

Black Magic LVL 8:

 

Tornado (150 MP)

Target: Single

Type: Status (Fatal)

The sky grows dark above the mage as she forms a well of gravity in the air, which slowly grows until it encompasses a huge area. The vortex formed begins to suck in the surrounding air, creating a swirling frenzy that suddenly collapses onto the unfortunate target! With a chance of (M.ACC%-50)%, M. Defense, it will blast away 90% of the target's current HP, regardless of the damage cap.

 

Meteor (200 MP)

Target: Group

Type: Non-Elemental

Using the powers of time and space the mage draws an enormous celestial body from the sky, almost large enough to be a small planet. The meteor descends from above, burning with the force of entering the atmosphere. This force is eventually enough to fragment the meteor into six smaller meteorites, which strike six random targets for (8 x MAG) + 2d8 Non-Elemental damage each. Meteor is not affected by Armor or M. Armor. Each potential target must roll 1d100 for each strike - the lowest roll for each strike is the target that gets hit.

 

White Magic LVL 1:

 

Hold (7 MP)

Target: Single

Type: Status (Time)

The mage hurls a bolt of energy at the target. It strikes the target in the head, with a (M.ACC%-50)%, M. Defense chance of dazzling him. His initiative is reduced by 50% because of the blow.

 

 

White Magic LVL 2:

 

Float (15 MP)

Target: Party

Type: Support

A small pair of wings appear behind each target and lifts them about half a metre into the air, awarding them the Float status (6). Unlike other Support spells, Float can be reflected.

 

Slow (12 MP)

Target: Single

Type: Status (Time)

The ground beneath the target glows as a silver clock appears. The hands of the clock begin to slow down, and the target has a (M.ACC%-50)%, M. Defense chance to be afflicted with Slow (6).

 

White Magic LVL 4:

 

Haste (35 MP)

Target: Single

Type: Support

The ground beneath the target glows with a brilliant golden light as the outline of a clock appears. The hands begin to move rapidly and grant the Haste status (4). Unlike other Support spells, Haste can be reflected.

 

 

White Magic LVL 6:

 

Exit (40 MP)

Target: Party

Type: Support

A wave of yellow light envelops the area, building to a flash that leaves emptiness in its wake. The targets of the spell are instantly transported to the entryway of their current location, be it a tower door, the mouth of a cave or such.
